Andrew Barkhouse, a photographer here in Antigonish who specializes in scenic prints and wedding photography, came to me several years ago to make his first website. After almost three years of selling his prints online and expanding his services to include portrait and wedding photography Andrew decided that it was time to upgrade to a new look design that included integration of social media.

Andrew is currently working on adding more photos to his site during the holiday season.

Now beginning it’s second year, Fit 4 Lit is a now annual fund raiser for the Antigonish County Adult Learning Association (ACALA). Every April Fit 4 Lit encourages people of all ages to take part in its run to raise much needed money for ACALA. After last years highly successful fund raising, Fit 4 Lit was able to raise enough money to allow ACALA to operate during the summer months for the first time ever!

The website at the moment is just a shell to showcase Fit 4 Lit’s Facebook page but as time goes one it will become home to the groups pictures, videos, testimonials and more!

The Antigonish band, MacMinimA, has been working with social media and a draft website for some time. Recently they decided to polish their online presence with a professional site that reflected the bands aesthetics.

MacMiniMA began when Atlanta-born songwriter Patrick ‘Clay’ Yancey returned to North America from seven years in Europe and East Asia. Teaming up with Canadian drummer and producer Bryan Melanson, they recorded the 12-track album on and off over several years in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

The Antigonish Regional Development Authority (ARDA) is pleased to present the online version of their annual guide to local food in Antigonish Town and County.

Each year the ARDA gathers information on local producers of fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs, baked goods, honey, maple syrup and more. With concerns over the source of the food in our stores and family farms forming the foundation of our community, it is more important then ever to support the local food system. Such support works to improving the livelihoods of producers and ensuring that the social and cultural fabric of our community is preserved. This site was built to viauslly match the Experience Antigonish site.
